Dr. Shamie Zingore
 
Shamie Zingore is the IPNI Regional Director for sub-Saharan Africa. He is leading research and development activities to support sustainable crop production intensification, based on best nutrient management practices. He works extensively various collaborators to develop innovations, build capacity, and promote information exchange on soil fertility management.

Project Manager

Dr. James Mutegi

Dr. James Mutegi is a Soil Scientist and Farming System Analyst at IPNI. He holds a PhD in Soil Fertility and Climate Change from the University of Aarhus, Denmark, MSc in Environmental Science (Kenyatta University) specializing in soil nutrient and water dynamics and a BSc in Dryland Management from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. James has over 10 years work experience as a scientist and a consultant with National and International institutions in Africa and over 10 publications in international refereed journals. James manages the AGRA funded Country Level Soil Health Consortia and supports other IPNI research projects in sub-Sahara Africa.

Research Assistant

Beverly Agesa
 
Beverly joined IPNI in February 2014 as a research assistant under the Africa Soil Health Consortia project. She holds an MSc. In Sustainable Soil Resource Management from the University of Nairobi, a Bsc in Environmental Science (Egerton University) and is currently pursuing a post graduate diploma in Project Management. Prior to joining IPNI, Beverly conducted her post graduate research on agro - ecological intensification techniques in in the semi - arid lands of Kenya. She is assisting in the consolidation of ISFM information across 8 consortia project countries.
